Advertised in "Buck Rogers Solar Scout" dated 1936. The Buck Rogers radio serial was sponsored by Cream of Wheat in 1935.
JOHILLCO SPACEMEN BOXED SET OF 24 -JOHILLCO- ENGLAND58 viewsBoxed set of 24 space figures. These are hand painted hollow cast lead figures. There are 10 different figures drawn from Johillco's range. Some of the figures have removable clear plastic helmets.

The box label is a generic label used on other Johillco space items such as the space station.

CHARBENS TOYS SPACEMEN SET - CHARBENS ENGLAND38 viewsSeven piece lead spaceman boxed set. These are hand painted hollow cast lead. There are just three figure types:

Blue spaceman holding rifle at waist
Red spaceman holding pistol in right hand
Green spaceman holding both hands up, bomb in right hand

The figures come in a card box with a monochrome space scene.

SPACEMEN - POPLAR PLAYTHINGS - WALES36 viewsA series of hard rubber spacemen and aliens molded in a hard rubber material, bronze or silver. 55mm. These are copies of spacemen created by Thomas Toys of America, a sister company to Poplar. There five figures produced by Poplar; they can be found in grey or bronze hard rubber. Painted examples are found but it is not clear if these were factory painted.

Note: the sixth figure, a spaceman holding a rifle at his waist, was manufactured by Thomas but was not (as far as I am aware) produced by Poplar.
DAN DARE SET - KENTOYS - ENGLAND35 viewsA set of six 54mm hand painted plastic spacemen based on the Eagle comic Dan Dare strip. These figures were sold loose in display boxes of 36 figures. There are some color variations.

The figures were originally made by Eaglewall of Dorking. The moulds were later sold to Kentoys who continued to be produced them.

2 Digby. Fat man in yellow space suit with silver helmet and large ray gun.
3 Professor Jocelyn Peabody. Blonde woman in yellow top, brown pants, kneeling and holding equipment.
4 Commander Lex O'Malley. Bearded man in blue naval uniform holding rifle in left hand and bomb in raised right arm.
5 Sir Hubert Guest. Officer in green air force uniform holding a space rifle at waist.
6 Cadet 'Flamer' Spry. Boy in blue suit racing along, perched on one leg with pistol in outstretched arm.
SPACEMEN - CRESCENT FOR KELLOGS - ENGLAND34 viewsA set of six spacemen premiums made for Kellogs by Crescent of England. These were given away in packets of Rice Krispies in the 1960s. In 1960 there was a TV ad for Rice Krispies featuring these spacemen.

Available in red, orange, yellow green, blue and light blue.

SPACEMEN - ALPIA - ITALY31 viewsA set of six hard plastic spacemen with clear plastic helmets. The figures have circular bases. All come with a clear plastic helmet with a distinctive spike on top.

Versions in light green, dark grey, bronze and white are known. Also in transparent colored plastic. Alpia Italy 1950s?
