CLASSIC PLASTIC 1 - MR LEM AND CO

Many collectors avoid plastic robots, others collect nothing else. Here's a variety of the plastics which are amongst the most eagerly sought and which already cost a fortune. The great thing is that many toy dealers dismiss them as "just plastic" and bargains are all around. There's no secret to identifying a valuable plastic robot: if it looks great, buy it! Japan produced a large number of these, but you'll find the new manufacturers from Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan playing an increasingly important role.

Here are some Hong Kong specials. Even when you can see the box it's difficult to identify the manufacturer. Any help would be appreciated. Are there any others in the group? What's this Zed Robot I've heard about?..It sounds similar to the following

Zero of Space
The bright colours of Zero Of Space.
A Hong Kong robot from the 1970s, made by Salco.
Neat! This robot was also sold under other names - Mr Astronaut is one such name.
Same legs on the See-Thru Robot, almost certainly by the same company.  Transparency is one obvious benefit of plastic, and it's good to see it used well.
This is the Walking Robot, a Hong Kong robot powered by two AA cel batteries. It also appeared as Mr Flash. This one bears the Cragstan importer's logo on the box. It's a cute robot with great box art.
Flash
Perhaps the most common of this group, Mr Lem. Another Salco piece.
