A Mighty "mighty Atom"

16 September 2014 - 10:52 AM

Just when I had given up on finding anything at a local swap meet last Sunday I saw this sticking out of a cardboard box, I couldn't resist him, I haven't a clue who the maker is as there are no markings. He stands an impressive 2' tall and, as they say, displays well!

Boop Boop Be Doop!

08 September 2014 - 11:36 AM

I bought this Betty Boop tambourine at the weekend  knowing that it must be rare, but not realising just how rare it is! The makers name appears to be SI or IS? it's also marked Japan. It dates from the 1930's so does anyone know who made it???

Thanks in advance!

The "space Pilots" Are On Their Way!

20 August 2014 - 02:19 AM

I've managed to get the two halves apart and so now I can start the clean up, many bits need to be straightened out. I'm not going to re paint anything, just touch up certain areas, and I'm absolutely thrilled that Marco has promised me a dome!!!

Another Rotate-O-Matic Variation?

04 August 2014 - 12:56 PM

Hi everyone,

Last night I was lucky enough to buy a small but impressive toy collection. Amongst the space toys I got a mint boxed Directional robot and this red eye Horikawa. There is one in the database but it's listed as having a plastic head, my version has a tin head and the 'ears' are different. Got to say I love the intergalactic chaos depicted in the box art!

One From The Database!

02 August 2014 - 04:29 AM

This morning the first thing I spotted on Ebay was this saucer on a "Buy It Now", a quick check on the database confirmed its rarity. The seller had all sorts of junk for sale and this was being sold as parts. It looks like it just needs a dome and a back wheel!

...oh...and a box!
