They don't look like the floppy antenna'ed ones?! All those I've seen were silver, not gold or blue. These also seem a lil more "robust"? And the boxart is different, except for the "Space Robot" wording, they look like the originals.
Any more info on these Dirk? Any idea who made them?

thanks RPHR,

I breath trivia, and it made me feel a lil better, I do recall that the golden Roto I was offered had just a regular roto box, no "Golden Roto" wording. Also remembered that as it walked its torso kept rotating non-stop.. not sure if it was meant to be that way? Do yours do that?

oh, Nikola, no worries, from what I gather re: past Thunder experience, it will be more than a week before that happens...

surely some enterprising "dealers", you know who you are (and I'm still feeling pretty ripped off) will flog a $99 bad droopy wrench repro of a repro Radar a month or so before Schylling floods the market with them $29 exact same bad ones... ring a bell?

This time, I won't hold my breath, I have 2 TTT Radars booked and to heck with whatever may come after that. If I can't get an original, TTT comes second, their repros give the best bang for the buck.

Can't say the same for the chinese copycat brigade tho.

I suppose I could buy several and paint them up myself, but I know I'll never get to it. Variations Tom, it's good robot business!

John will surely be doing some masterful color variations, soon as he gets his hands on some radars! John? What would be a cool color for Radar, how bout "glow in the dark"?? Is there such paint available?

Maybe that's why Tom isn't doing 100s of other colors? Leaving room for us to have some fun with? I dunno, but personally, I think it sucks if a manufacturer offers nth color variations on a robot.

i think the end price is a little high, but still sorta ok.

All the talk about Golden robots re: other thread got me wondering,

how scarce is the "Golden" Roto compared to this one? And would it be more expensive?

I was offered one a year or so back, but passed.. now wondering if I made a stupid mistake (as usual)
