Can anyone recommend collection-cataloging software that would include a picture of the item, basic info, purchase date, price, etc.? I currently keep a spreadsheet but maintaining a simple database, without having to learn Access, is something I'm interested in.

Ideal Rocket Car
06 April 2013 - 10:48 PM
I received my Hake's auction items and wanted to post a few pics of the rocket car for reference. It's identified as the "Ideal Rocket Car" on page 13 of "Blast Off!", although it's not marked in any way with an Ideal logo, etc. It seems to be as rare or rarer Pyro's Pyrotomic vehicles and measures 4.25" x 2". Of the few eBay pics I have, I've only seen it molded in red and light-blue hard plastic. How it was sold is anyone's guess.

Why don't the space plastic collectors of the group put our heads together and come up with a display of 1950s plastic space toys...if Joe could make room for us?
List:
- Pyrotomic Energizer and Fire Control Vehicles
- Reliable Spaceman pinwheel(s)

1950s Captain Video Supersonic Space Ship Set
13 March 2013 - 01:56 AM
I recently received this Captain Video set containing all four "Supersonic Space Ships" and accessories. The toys were made by Lido and designed to link together like a tain. Ive been wanting to add these hard plastic toys to my collection but they're a little hard to find, so when the boxed set came up for auction I jumped at the chance. The box itself is in pretty good condition and appears brighter in the photos than in real life.
This set can be seen in "Blast Off!" on page 141. The ships were also boxed individualy and sold on a header-card with Lido Humanoid figures; in this case the ships were designated: Troop Transport, Persuir Ship, Rocket Tank, and Atom Cannon...these can be seen on page 142.
