I still have my red one on display. I probably got it at Whitehall Discount City in Columbus. I remember the machine, but not where I was at the time. He's in my 1963 collection photo, so he's over fifty now!  He's a little bit pinkish, but not terribly. He also doesn't feel particularly waxy. He's got more of a cheap plastic soldier feel. I think they were a quarter or fifty cents at the time. I don't know about Botstock this year, but I'd love to get one of the black ones. I'll post the old picture again. Sorry if you've already seen it! Waxy is lower left.

You're having it made as a new Alphadrome premium? Can I get two?  It's very elegant - like a slightly modernized Attacking Martian.

Robots of Christmas Past - That phrase should be a link to some pages I posted a couple of years ago of many of the robots I collected as a kid. I was lucky that my dad took many pictures. I think the first of them go back to 1956 or 1957. I just checked - it works, but it takes you to page eight. Scroll back to page one for the earliest. I like your pictures Ultra Robotman. Great looking mid sixties tree! What year do you think - 1967?

I always imagined this to be a sort of gentle slow robot. It's noisy and frantic! I do quite like his eyebrows.

And it's gone. I wonder if it was pulled by Ebay or if the seller managed to find a dupe to make an off of ebay offer. I suppose that's still a way to take the money and keep it. There are still a couple of rare Popeye toys in the seller's listings. These "working two jobs, doing this as a hobby and only ship on Tuesday" people never sell anything but the rarest and best!
