After years of admiring some of my favorite illustrators and sculptors (Bruckner, Frazetta, Manchess, Whelan, Joyner) in the annual Spectrum Fantastic Art books, I decided to enter one of my Bots when the call for entries came around for the Spectrum competition. I'm excited to say that my 'Lunch Break Bot' was chosen last week for the soon to be published (November) Spectrum 20.

ATTENTION ALPHADROMERS! I want to get a head count from those who AREN'T attending the big bash that would like a poster. Send me a PM with your name and mailing address. We'll work out the postage and the cost for 26 inch long mailing tubes later. I've looked into it already and Post Office 'tubes' are $3.99 plus tax each so I'm hoping to find a better price.

 

I'll cover the price of printing the 18 X 24 posters. ShortRunPosters.com has done a good job in the past so I'll be uploading the file to them. I'd like to keep the quantity to 50 posters.

 

It looks like the Botstock X attendance list is still growing but once I get a final tally I'll make sure that members attending will get a poster. Joe, PM me your mailing address for the Museum and I'll send the bulk of the posters your way.

 

The print run quantity cut off date will be midnight APRIL 21. That'll allow plenty of time for printing production, shipment to me, inspection, and then on to Joe.

 

Also let me know if you want the posters signed by me or not. Joe and Brian, can you make sure everybody attending signs one poster and then send it back to me? I'd appreciate it!   -Steve

John, the Alphabot Rockin Walker proto arrived yesterday and he's amazing! Smooth action and lots o' fun! Love it! Everyone is charmed by it.
