I knew if I waited long enough, I would find a robot in Thunderbirds. So far that's XL5, Supercar, and now Thunderbirds. His name is Braiman, and he is created by the character Brains.

Gerry Anderson was married to his wife, Sylvia. She not only provided the voice to a lot of the female characters like Venus and Lady Penelope, but was also the puppet design supervisor. She designed the characters, or oversaw their design. She was a very talented person as evidenced by the wide variety of characters in all these supermarionation shows. I'm having a blast watching these all over again.

I gotta get me the Thunderbirds on DVD. Gawd, I loved that show!

Ken a few years ago Soundtech brought out a set of Thunderbirds figures ,,they were about the same size as Action Man,,anyway the Brains toy came complete with a small Braiman figure......
Courtesy of youtube in 6 parts here is the Thunderbirds episode he appeared in SUNPROBE .There are short appeances in parts 1,2,and 3..You see most of him in part 6
and no appearance of him inparts 4 and 5

Oh Cool...I didn't know this set existed. I would say the scale of Braiman is a bit smaller in comparison to Brains than he was in the episode. But I wish I would have known about these figures. I wouldn't have minded adding a couple to my collection. Thanks for the info.

Ken,,,,You are right,, the scale of the Braiman robot in comparison to Brains is not correct,,also he doesn't have that high bronze sheen as seen in your first pic,,definately a robot that deserves a better model But as I remember the actual Thunderbird figures were of good quality and a reasonable price...I'm not sure if you can still buy them new,but they do appear on ebay now and again...
