STACKED "SPIRIT" ROCK

6 posts in this topic

I've been on vacation through New England, city of Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia for three weeks.  I photographed  some imitation cairns in Alma, new Brunswick and a UFO beer in one bar. The rocks reminded me of robots and kind of eerie.

Wow, Phil, somebody had some crazy rock-stacking skills.

Spark, that's why i used the term imitation cairns. I usually read about things I'm not familiar with. Although it looked cool I understand it's become a problem in the U. S. as well. There were quite a few on that beach with the large one in the photograph.  I also toured Acadia National Park on Desert(pronounced like the after meal treat)  Island in Maine and they have authentic markers in the park.

Oh sorry Phil I missed the one fundamental word that defined the whole post.

Never mind, we both get the gist and how this can, and has in some places become a problem.

I must say though the rock stack in your photo is very impressive and right up our street.
