Hi guys

As we don't use facebook I thought I would inform my happy news to a few friends outside of our usual family and friends group.

My wife has worked for the Metropolitan Police for 31 years.

Yesterday we attended an awards ceremony where she was in the last 3 for community support officer of the year 2016. Whoo hoo!!! She won!

This is a huge achievment where she was presented her award by the Police commissioner and she met the present mayor of London.

BTW The last pic is my wife and the Mayor, not me.

Congrats to your wife and yourself, quite an achievement when considering the amount of staff that work for the Met.

Morb that aint me

That is the new London Mayor.

Here I am with her friend in the background.

Not wearing quite so good as the wife both at 62.

Getting all sloppy now but we were boyfriend and girlfriend at 13.

Married at 19.

I think the young kids nowadays couldn't imagine that.

You're both keeping well, and that's a fine head of distiquised silver hair you have there. Mrs Spark looking youthful too and I suppose needs to be, being a PCSO in London, a lot of responsibility helping to keep it safe.

These moments are indelible. It's always great to celebrate each other's accomplishments.

Great and truthful comments guys.

You know what it's like, the longer you are with someone the more you tend to take them for granted. Yesterday brought it home to me how lucky I am.

This will be my one and only slushy day this year.
