Nice full color, half page ad that also shows the four cardboard targets that original came with the toy.

This sighting moves The Z Man back a year to 1956.

See Morita, page 199 &/or Toy Bop, page 113. Tom Frey lists the manufacturer as "Z-Line". Can anyone confirm?

Joe - I've noticed lately that if I click on the direct links you provide my computer wants to save the images as bit maps. When you provide a link to a specific auction page I can save the pics as JPEGs from the auction page. I'm not sure why this is but the board will not allow me to upload bit maps so if you can provide a link to the original source of these images I might be able to save them as JPEGs and then upload them here.

If these could be added to FJW's comparison photo:

you'll note that all four images show a slightly different toy! I wonder how many prototypes were made? (and where are they, now?)
