I just picked up a Mr. Brain robot and what a cool little robot he is. He came with one disc, I would love to get a few others, so if anyone has a lead on some of these I would be grateful for any tips. I then realized I have a small collection of Remco's finest robots. Here you have Rudy, Mr. Brain, Lost in Space robot and the Tin Man. Remco made some good stuff back in the day. I have that commercials disc that Robotnut gave us at one Botstock a while back and most of the good toys are from Remco. Pitty they no longer exist.

Is the smoker still working in your Mr brain robot Ken? If you look inside you will see a little fan blade that spinns around in side the body that is supposed to provide enough air power to push the smoke up and out the stack, no bellows for them, no sir, they had to use a industrial fan blade set up. I always thought that was so cool and different for a robot toy of this type.

Yes, John, he still smokes. He didn't when he got here. But I have a train set that says if it stops smoking, poor some 3 in 1 oil down the hole and it will smoke again. SO I took that same advice on Mr. Brain. I poured a few drops of the oil down his stack and he smokes real good now...nice billowey streams of smoke. I guess that would work for the smoking robot too.

Very cool when you can get a missing action going again!

I just realized in that picture of Mr. Brain smmoking...it looks like those mist pictures you see on the Shadowlands or other ghost websites...proving those pics are just smoke that was photographed. So Mr. Brain either works, or my house is haunted.

Hmmmmmmm, yes Mr. Netzel, obviously a class A ectoplasmic manifestation...most likely a former owner, or a jealous collector from the Other Side. Sometimes this situation can be remedied by adding a few Ghostbusters toys to your collection.Posted Image
