I have a box that has a clear plastic window that wraps from the top down the front in what I guess you would call an "L" shape.
It's a bit crinkled from a warp in the cardboard--is there a way soften and reshape the plastic without shrinking/damaging it more?

you could possibly put it between thin towels or old tshirts and apply a heated iron and allow it to cool between the cloth pieces. Or as I do if the damage is great, I use a piece of mylar sheeting such as is used for better comic books, cut to size and reglue. If you're not a purist no one will know the difference. They usually come out easily. you can also buy page protectors that are mylar at places like Staples.
