Thanks for the photos Robothut!
I would love to see some enterprising company come out with a tin litho version of this, or at least do something similar.

Would anyone care to guess, in general or specific numbers, just how many of these gems exist in collections today? I'm just trying to check my perception that the Roboter 700 is one of those pieces that only a handfull are known. What about price? Anyone care to estimate what a nice boxed example would bring in a well-publicized auction? Are there any documented sales besides Henks "one that got away"?

Well I do not think "it got away. If it went the way I think it went, this one is that one. I.e.
"Goodwin"either has the one that was found in Germany or it is the, via via , via", Elbaum-robot.
I can live with that. With G it is in nicer surroundings.
Lesser has a nice term for it: G.O.K.-robots. (God only knows, how much they are worth).
For pieces over 10 grand there is a very limited number of potential buyers.
If a machine man came my way for 25.000 I would have to let it go, even though that could be
considered cheap. (come to think of it, I might sell something to get it... )
Only if two "Goodwin's" at the same time were aware of a rarity, would a fabulistic price be realised.

Wow, I had no idea this was a rare robot !!!
I have 3 of them in my parts bin in the basement. I guess
I'll have to dust them off and see if they work. I think I let
my daughter paint one for a school project. It should wash
off, as she only used water color. About 20 years ago a
local discount store was closing and I bought them to use
as halloween decorations. I'm quite sure I still have the boxes,
as I used them to store old photos in.

So we're talking two, maybe three, known to exist?
How about Suzie Robette?

Susie, maybe a few more than "Roboter".
10??
Christian has one, but he dropped it, so if you count the individual parts
the number has vastly increased.
I might make a cast of her one day and make a ltd repro.
It is not a very difficult robot to re-cast.
Price? What ever an arm and a leg fetch in today's open market.
