Very impressive. I love the display cases. Also noticed the ray gun poster on your wall...it looks great in your man cave.

Yes the rocket gum ball machine would look great in the Hut if you need more room. But I have too say you seem to have too much room! I mean you can still walk around with out stepping over anything. Now as for the tread mill, that could be changed in to a robot, you know they used tread mill motors to move the treads on Johnny 5 right! or at the very least you could stack alot of robots on that tread mill. Its not like you want to walk on it or any thing right. Any way the room is looking great! and anice way to enjoy the collection. Now just set up some TV trays for the remaining robots in the storage boxes and your all set.

Joe, here are the additional photos but I have to say up front that I know the ray guy display is pathetic. My intent is to remove the Planters items from the adjoining case and spread out the guns and add the items from 3 cartons in storage. Not all the dioramas are displayed including the War of Worlds and Spaceship to Venus and all the spaceports, etc.

Good one John.Always thinking of conversions and use of space. unfortunately, anyone showing a display has to be compared to the best display of robots and space toys in the world, The Robot Hut. I do like your thinking, however.

Nice work on the man cave! It's always a treat to see fellow dromers collections and how their collections are displayed.
My collection is only about 25 pieces and up on a top shelf because of the kids.

Phil, that's a wonderful room you've got there, I could live there quite comfortably. Nice clean lines, everything in its place as I personally like it (yeh, I know too much like Sheldon in 'Big Bang Theory'...not that there's anything wrong with that...or him :))! Only thing in my early days of collecting I threw out all the original boxes (not from 'bots) as I didn't want the clutter around. On top of that the writers of collecting articles back 35+ years ago all claimed nothing from the modern era would ever be collectable due to the great amount of stuff being produced.

John, I know that problem of stepping over stuff all the time too well especially when working on a scratch-build when parts are all over the place. Don't you just love it when you drop a small part and it virtually disappears only to re-appear 10 feet away??? You always seem to find something you're not looking for.

Anyway Phil, your 'space cave' looks great and has given me some new ideas for the mess we have around here. *Altaira with the horse models/sculptures and her robots, me with the monster and modified stocker kits and the 'bots die-casts and boxed stuff.

Thanks for the great pics, it's very uplifting these days to see someone enjoying their collection. We spend so much time searching for new stuff when we sometimes forget the great stuff we already have. It's nice to look at your shelves and say "I'd forgotten I had that...it's a cool piece"! I hope to add a couple of pieces a little later on...between keeping up the 'family cave' and silly stuff like food and utilites it's all too easy to get tapped out these days but the thought of the hunt keeps the momentum going.

Cheers Phil!

Mike

Hi Phil, that's a great looking man cave, what a great place to hide out! :D I spotted a robot that I saw in a trendy design shop here, just this afternoon, a version of Mr Brain I think? red with a yellow head!...now I want to go back and buy it
