[Electric Robot and Son]

Several years ago I built a large (32" diameter) solar powered flying saucer piloted by Robby the Robot for my sons garden. It spends spring, summer and fall outside in the garden and winters in the upstairs robot/raygun room. This past spring when I moved the saucer outside I thought the robot room looked really empty, So I decided to build another saucer to leave inside year round. Gort graciously agreed to pilot the saucer. Here are some pics.

The robby saucer was designed to stand on a pole, this one is made to hang from above.

It is also capable of beaming up inquisitive X-file agents.
