Well, I saw these and really liked them...so I bought them. They've been painted, presumably by a previous owner. This may (or may not) detract from their value but I think they look great! I know very little to nothing about toy spacemen. These are my first ones. Anybody know something about these guys?

Actually I believe they came painted. I've seen some listed on EBAY as cake toppers. So they might be later remakes handpainted in Hong Kong.

That's interesting. The paint jobs do look as if they were painted quickly by a skilled hand. That would suggest a mass produced item. That's OK with me, however; I still think they're cool!

I agree with ANZ, I think they're cake toppers sold as a set. From pics I've seen, the spacemen also came with an Apollo-style rocket, dating them from the late 60's early 70's. They're based off the Ajax spacemen although I'm not sure they were made with the original molds, probably not. Enjoy!
