Well the seller not only replaced the white one with the red one but sent me another one I didn't have in green!

Almost have what I would call a small hard plastic set now.

Through a friend on Facebook I found the sale of what appears to be the original molds for these spacemen. The people selling the molds has misidentified them as a "Grouping of 1940s's toy robot molds;" I'm not sure how these can be confused with robots, and I highly doubt they date to the 40's. The asking price for the set is $3800.00 although I haven't asked them for their best price...I wish my pockets were that deep.

Here are pics of the molds...they look a little rusty so they don't appear to be the high-dollar molds that Marx would make:

OK, I just emailed the seller and asked if this was the best price...he said the best he could do was $2800. I don't think I can even get that amount approved by the House Finance Committee, but I'm gonna try!

Good luck with that, Bill. I would think they would be a great addition to your collection.

Yeah, even with knocking 1000 off the price it's still out of my price range. I easily have the money but convincing my wife to part with it is another thing.

Don't think so Brady...the one your showing is typically called a "ring-head spaceman" and was made by Lido; the other key chains are of unknown origin.
