We discussed these Reisler spacemen from Denmark before. I picked up the set recently off Ebay. I didn't realized they were jointed on the right arm. Nice detail in these 2-1/2" figures. Were they made in colors?

Since a longer time I´m searching for these figures and although Denmark is a neighbouring country in the north of Germany I can´t detect anything.
Guess I´ll need more patience
To answer your question: they were made only in white plastic as far as I know.

Phil, I picked up a set of these spacemen 8 months ago or so, all white plastic. It was one of those uneducated purchases where the seller listed them as vintage but I later learned were reissued. Reissued sets can be found on the web...in white plastic. The pic in Blast Off shows a set in color but I believe they were crudely painted rather than being molded in colored plastic.

Somehow there was a formatting area in Alphadrome that had images blocked. I don't know how I did that. Here's the Reisler image. I thought I saw a photo with blue or green helmets on the figures. Is that how they're supposed to be?

It looks like the same set I received although mine came with poorly done blue and clear helmets. I think I've only seen one vintage example come up for auction over the years, not too long ago actually, and it was painted vice molded in colored plastic. Unfortunately, I didn't keep a copy of the pic.

Thanks BR, I stand corrected. The vintage figures look to be painted colored plastic! Thanks for the reference material, now we know they date to at least 1953. I tried to snag the pictures to post as part of this thread but they're apparently protected.
