Quoted from Joe's post:

"Gallagher's book does show a logo that consists of the letter "Y" in a circle. It is identified as belonging to the company: Sanko. I'm not sure if this is the exact same logo that appears on the ray gun ."

Thanks for the insight there, Joe old boy. So, it's not Yone, nor Yonezawa eh? Sanko, hunh...well, whoever they were, they produced a damn fine ray gun.

The Sanko trademark on a box top. I wonder, does Sanko still exists?

O.K. Let's review...

The first six logos can be found in William C. Gallagher's book, Japanese Toys. The last one I took from the box for the first release of the small, wind-up Mr. Atomic that came out a few years ago. I labeled it "???" because I'm not sure exactly what company it is.

So, Brady, which trademark is on your Space Ray Gun?

So, this incredibly awesome, beautifully designed tin-litho gun, was made by some generic Japanese toy maker  , go figure.

Cheer up! You can take your choice of trademarks: Aoki, TT or Sanko.

Now, that close-up of the logo looks more like Sanko to me, Brady. Perhaps, both logos are Sanko? An evolutionary process? I just don't know for sure.

Either way, it is a damn, fine ray gun!
