    Hi Guys and Gals,
Sorry I've been out for a while. Life seems to keep getting in the way. I finally had some time and an idea that I wanted to create this one. My little robot had been sitting there for over 3 years and the old barn photo gave me this idea for a good nighttime picture. My wife calls this art piece "The Night Has Eyes" and I refer to it as "Scardy Cat". I'll have to give it some time to work itself out.
    Enjoy and Peace,
    Chaz

My little blue robot and the cow are having a conversation. One says to the other, "So...You say that these tall red and blue things standing beside us contain a great wealth of knowledge?"

    Hi John,
    Well I must confess, I'm a tool freak. Both my shop (for metal working) and my studio have a nice selection of toys, uhhh, I mean tools. ;~}
I am now using a Nikon D800 and the file goes directly into my computer for post-assembly with both Adobe Photoshop and/or Corel Painter. I rarely ever use the scanner or light box even though I have them since my paintings are too large. Check out my Fine Art America website by clicking on "THE MODERN ARTIST".
    Peace,
    Chaz

    Hi John,
The artwork is an original oil painting and is enhanced with the computer. It's still the same painting but the revisions are in digital form now and I still have the original painting intact as it was first painted. So I have both the original work of art and a digital version of it. On this painting I changed out the right arm on Claude and re-positioned the head on Rojo. I also went back and got rid of any blemishes, straightened and smoothed the black line trim on the car and made the car's shadow a little darker. I am doing more and more of this type of work by combining the two. The computer is just another tool at the disposal of the Artist. After completing these revisions, the last thing I did was sharpen the complete digital image with a sharpening filter. BTW, I'm using a low res file here.
    Enjoy and Peace,
    Chaz

Well I've been getting cabin fever from having to stay at home since open heart surgery so I've been taking this time for learning some new computer programs and doing some revisions to some of my existing artwork. This is the latest revised version of "Cowboy Claude and Rojo Robo on Vacation."
    Peace,
    Chaz

    Thank you John.
How would I go about doing something for BSX? PM me with details if possible.
As for attending BSX, I'm recovering from open heart surgery at this time and doing rehab. They (the Docs) don't think it was completely successful at this time. Have to wait and see.
    Peace,
    Chaz

Another Poster I found while organizing my studio. This is another piece of artwork done back about 23 years on that primitive computer program that I was using.

    Hey Everyone,
Well it's been a while since I've been here on this site. Sorry! Started having heart problems back in October and finally had to have open heart surgery in December of 2012. Just getting back to being a little creative. The Meds they give you really mess with your brain. I ran across this piece of artwork I did back in 1990 while I was doing some organizing in my studio. At that time I was working for a slide production company. The software was VERY PRIMITIVE. All you had to work with beside colors was point to point straight lines and layers. NO CURVES, NO CIRCLES, NO MOVING YOUR POINTS you just deleted the point and added another point where you wanted it. All layers were not collapsable. That meant lots of layers and hundreds and hundreds of points. Anyway, I did this during a slow time. I used the Astrodome an inspiration for the flying saucers. Enjoy the colors!
    Peace,
    Chaz

    Surprise Information:
This painting was done for the cover of our directory for our 50th High School Reunion. This was painted earlier in that year so it would be finished in time to go to publication. The two teenagers in the painting were classmates of mine. The surprise was that the boy I chose for the painting which I had not seen since 1957 actually had a career working for NASA.
    Peace,
    Chaz
