A few photos from the first two conventions of 2015, Farpoint in Timonium, MD and Monster Mania in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Pictured first is Colin Ferguson, star of the SyFy series, Eureka and recently on Haven. You might also recognize him as the current Maytag man. That was taken at Farpoint, along with the Daleks, Han Solo in Carbonite, and Iron Woman (yes, that's a young lady in the costume).
After that, we have Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, X-Files, Fire in the Sky, and more) followed up Christopher McDonald (Lt. Castillo on Star Trek: TNG among other roles etc.).
One of the semi-annual conventions that I attend is called Chiller Theatre in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA. The next one will be April 24-26, 2015 and will include a presentation by Bertina Schulze-Mittendorff, daughter of Walter Schulze-Mittendorff, the creator of Maria from Metropolis.
It was great to see you (and the museum, and Santa, and Pia) this past Sunday. I hope your toothache has abated.
Evon and I decided to drive out to the Appalachian Brewing Company in Lititz for dinner. You got us hooked! We'll save our Johnny's gift cards for next time. We still have Black Horse gift cards, too. :)
Some pics of the Village decked out for Christmas and the R2-D2 tin bank (thank you very much!).
A fantastic time was had last weekend in Hunt Valley, MD at the 36th annual Shore Leave SF media and literary convention. I launched a new anthology with 5 other writers, I met Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver, Stargate SG-1) and Eve Myles (Doctor Who, Torchwood) and most importantly, had a magical weekend with wonderful friends.
Ciick here to check out a review of the weekend along with tons of pics!
Some previews below. First, my wife and I with Richard Dean Anderson. Second, a Cylon Raider parked outside the hotel for the weekend.
The third image is me chatting about book covers at a discussion panel (our new book is on the far right, Somewhere in the Middle of Eternity) and finally, two of the lovely ladies who contributed stories to the new anthology.
