I know Christian from the time i helped Henk , and i met him a few times
when he evacuated the complete robot collection from Henk's house.
Since then i have not had any contact with Xris.
The Fortune- Teller goes back to the family next week, so if you request
some more detail photo's please let me know.
I will also try to make a small film and post it.

I almost forgot that it's Henks birthday tomorrow friday 10 september , somehow
he reminded me and so i posted the photos of The Fortune-Teller !!!
This should be a tribute to Henk , Ankie and Emma and the rest of his family and friends.
The Fortune-Teller was probably only part of a complete installation used in different
configurations at company fairs , Henk designed marketing stands for all kinds of trade
fairs like for Siemens , Festo , Philips and a lot of other companies.
Maybe it could be coupled to a audio output or a printer , but in this stand alone form
it only reacts by moving its hand close and lowering its head.
In the back a fan cools the halogen spot lamp , and this together with the hollow body it
    makes an strange mysterious sound.
The fiberstrands gives off a strange color wave pattern , and a cable remote control switch
was used to scare the fair visitors when they looked at the Fortune-Teller , but did not dare
    to use the handpalm switches.
Another strange feature is the moving pupil in the blue-green eyes , two small light bulbs
in each eye are switched on after each other to give the illusion that the face stays looking
at you when the head moves down.
In future i will probably restore another art piece called (The) Twitch , a cubical wire frame
in which a rubber face mask is suspended and "twitched" by small cables.
Some info and photo's are on Henks preserved Website .
I will post more photo's of different art pieces made by Henk if they are a little bit robot related.

    Hello Robot Talkers,

i am posting some pictures of the art-robot called De Waarzegger (The Fortune-Teller)made by the late Henk Gosses.
Henk was a dear friend of mine , and i helped him the last 10 years almost every Saterday on all kinds of projects , eg. making tools for fabricating the Gustav robot series ,and doing a lot of electronics for the nixie robots and clocks and other projects.
I was also always looking for materials Henk could use for his projects , like the special kind of carton for making
his repro robotboxes , but also tin tea cans for making robot heads and bodies.
Now i an restoring the Fortune-teller back to life for Henks family , it is one of the few "robotic" items they still
    have to remember Henk.
Henk made this robot probably around 1990 as an attention grabbing piece for an technical fair , later it ended up
in his robotroom on the desk next to his computer.
The robot has switches in the palm of his right hand ,when you touch these , the hand closes and the head comes down.
Under the left hand there is a plasma ball , in the back there is a halogen spot lamp shining through a turning glass slide with different colours and patterns onto a opticalfiber cable with 30+ strands , they illuminate several plexiglass points.
If anyone has some more info about this robot , or needs info , please let me know.

    Greetings from Holland,

    Erick van Dijk
