The two samples also have sligthly different colored red Antenna.
One is dark red the other one more Orange-red. Both are Original (as far as I know).
Variation 2 has OFF and ON written next to the Switch.
Var.1: no writing next to switch

First time I was able to compare two samples of the blue SH Horikawa Space Station - and found Main differences in each of the 5 rooms - obviously to reduce production costs and effort.
    Engine Room
Var.1: two Persons; Var.2: one person
    Communication Room
    Var.1: 3 chairs; Var.2: 2 chairs
    Recreation room
    Var.1: 5 chairs - 2 person
    Var.2: 3 chairs - one person
    Dining room:
    Var.1: 8 chairs - 3 persons
    Var.2: 6 chairs - 2 persons
    Controllers room
Var.1: red and green lamp - table on right side
Var.2: red lamp only - table on left side

    Danke Klaus- Blechroboter!
yes i remember this Variation - same thing - could be Original - or made from original parts - However the Switch is still green
    ;-)

Just to add my opinion why I think this is Original :
the gears are not similar to any other existing transparent red gears from Horikawa  Toys.
So someone would have to make those gears and put it in this toy . But the toy is not in the best condition and the price was not expensive - so it would not have made sense to just modify this toy wIth so much effort.
Also it does look perfectly mounted like the other original gears and the gears have the same clear marks from production.

However - I have no  proof so one can never be 100% sure - everything is possible to create nowadays and can fool even a long time collector like me.

First time I came across this all red gear Variation of Horikawa Wind-up Gear Robot.
I am not 100% sure if this is a legit Variation but looks good to me.
Anybody has seen this version before or has it in the collection?

WIth a little (big) help from my Dutch friend Marco I was able to add this nice Gumball machine to my collection.
this one has been repainted but displays well.
I always admired this piece in El Xristos and Klaus collection and did not expect to finally get one.

I guess it means 7.20 Dz - that would be 7.20 Dollar per Dozen - probably a sample piece for a toy wholesale dealer. those samples have survived sometimes with box in this condition.

This is the same Sticker as on many other toys registered by the Japanese toy Association.
(Same as on my Hap Hazard handpainted prototype).

So it is made in Japan and a pre production piece or sample run used for the registration purpose.
In the top is the Date of Registration 50- 10-7
Means the year of the Emperor 50 =1975, October 7th.

The number 6450 is the Registration number. These are given in running order since the mid 50s.
