I'm a big fan of the 1980 Flash Gordon movie and would like to know if anyone can help me find a Ming Trooper Rifle like the one below. I would also be happy to pay for a good recast, it wouldn't have to be painted. If anyone can help me out please e-mail me. Thank you.
I helped convince a prop maker to do a run of the Martian Ray Gun pistol that's completely finished for only $150.82 if there's enough people interested in buying them and if there's enough interest he might make the rifle also. His link with more information is http://www.therpf.com/f13/mars-attacks-martian-ray-gun-113726/#post1642487 . Please go express your interest in getting one so he'll do the run. Thanks.
I saw your two Mars Attacks guns while looking around the forum and they look great. I saw your before and after pix of the martian spy girl's gun and I really like your upgrades.
If I find someone who can make the pistol I'll post it here so you can get one also. One of the prop builders I spoke to in Canada who can make it if we had enough detailed photos said he can also paint it to match the screen used version for about $125. I was thinking about a cleaner look but with the black veins which you can see better in the photo below.
I recently found this website and it looks great, I like the sci-fi retro look so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I've been looking for a Martian Ray Gun pistol from Mars Attacks for a long time without success. Best scenario would be if someone has a certified screen used prop in excellent condition that you would like to sell for a great price. A more realistic option would be if you have a cast and can make a good mold that I could get a good clean cast from or if you would like to sell your cast. If I can get a cast I can have it professionally painted. I've talked to a couple prop builders who can make one if I had enough detailed photos but I don't so if you can provide me with good detailed photos of the front, rear, left, right, top and bottom and maybe some angled photos of the more detailed area above the handle then that would probably work also. I've gone so far as to contact Mackinnon & Saunders in England who made the life-size martians and ray guns for the movie but they couldn't help me with anything. If you or someone you know can help me out please e-mail me. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
This is one good photo of a screen used prop. It's 15" long and 7" tall.
