When we do finally get to the future, I don't want a car that drives itself. I want my life-size Horikawa robot to drive me around!
I am playing around with photocollage again, and thought y'all might appreciate this one...
Tinplate, may I suggest that you once more contact this man, and ask him how he would feel about the relevant Seville government official getting pointed towards this thread? Negotiation is all about leverage... ):)
Hello and welcome! you have found the best group of robot and space toy nuts in the known universe. I look forward to seeing some gems from your collection...did you see that there is a special section of the Alphadrome where folks show off their collections?
Sorry I have been so slack in my duties regarding the Botstock 2014 poster...I have had a lot of other business competing for my time.
I have decided that the best way to let everyone who wants a poster be able to get one is to share the file online under a Creative Commons license. This gives anyone permission to freely use the image for any non-commercial use (ie, you are not making things with it and selling them).
Here's the link to the file; I'll try to add the Creative Commons logo to the art sometime this week, to make it easier to prove you have the right to use it.
Now you can have it on a poster, tshirts, coffee mug...whatever! I'd love to see pics of how you use it! For a dirt cheap, good quality 18x24 poster, I suggest:
You can get it 18x24 for under 5 bucks, and 24x36 for about 15 bucks. It's probably not super archival, but you'd be hard pressed to beat the quality for the price.
As I have time, I will try to find a good place to get an archival print/poster and other cool things, and I will edit this post to add links to those sites as I find them. If you have ideas, post them in the replies, and I will add them into this post as they come in.
I will happily sign anything you put the image on, if you so desire. Just mail it to me at (your name) c/o Dave Nalesnik, 145 15th St. NE, Unit 204, Atlanta, GA, USA, and then email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or PM me here with how you want it signed, and your address. You will be responsible for the shipping costs to get it from me to you.
I am sad to be missing Botstock this year, but finances just won't allow it. I hope y'all have a blast!
No worries on the RUR logo. I'll be doing the final as a vector file...I'd be happy to send you a copy when it's done. Shoot me an email if you want a copy. I'm using your version of the Alphadrome logo on my art, and I'd love a vector version if it's available.
Between the two of us, we should have enough box variants to thoroughly flummox future collectors! :D
