OK so I've got some extra time on my hands and I haven't contributed to this forum in too long so here's a topic for discussion - what do you think of this raygun?

It is rare - I've only seen one other example, Mark Nagata has one in his collection in the reverse color scheme.
A variation without the flared barrel shows up all the time loose and mint on card. It's probably 1970's or even later.

Here's my question - what do you guys think about it? I personally like it enough to have paid good money for it a couple years ago, but I understand it's not for everyone.
So please say what you really think - "meh" is a perfectly acceptable answer! It won't hurt my feelings. wink.gif

Don, I like it. It has nice balance in my hand. Good takedown laser, nice accuracy. No, wait. I lost it there. Nice color, good design balance, especially for a sparking gun. The cone shapes makes it different and very retro.

Fineas, first, let me say that retro appeal has nothing to do with vintage. I have several guns that have great styling, or are just interesting, that are not old classics. This gun is unique enough to be interesting, I would buy one if offered. mellow.gif I have actually seen this one before in other collections, twice on Ebay also (missed it both times). Granted the shapes are more geometric than I would prefer, but the flared muzzel and molded elements give it a certain charm. smile.gif

There are aspects of it that I like, and I almost like it as a whole.

I love the colors, and I love the translucent plastic. I think the flared front and back pieces are great, too. But I'm not a fan of the gun's body. I think it's a little too blocky, a little too modern looking.

Overall, a cool gun, but not quite for me.

Kind of reminds me of the quisp gun, but I don't think it would make my top 20 list.

Pretty much what I expected.

Phil summed it up best for me, it's got a nice balance. That cone shaped barrel looks to my eye like the perfect shape for emitting a deadly blast of atomic-gamma-photon-space-modulated-rays. biggrin.gif
